A well researched and engaging read on counterinsurgency. Nagl's book provides a wealth of historical examples in support an original and intriguing thesis. His description and subsequent assessment of organizational learning is particularly stimulating. Definitely worth a read if you're in any way involved in national defense, or if you are just looking to expand your understanding of the Vietnam conflict or modern insurgencies.
