I found this book impossible to put down. It is an extremely engaging read. It was a perspective that I was not used to looking at, the parent's view of their child as an addict, as opposed to hearing from the addict about their own experience. It also is filled with scientific studies about drug use and recovery. It would be a very useful read for parents, especially parents of teen-agers or pre-teens. It made me realize how extremely normalized drug and alcohol use is in general society, and how addicted we are to everything.
