It's always fun going back and reading a childhood favorite. Jan desperately wants a child, but is unable to have one--until a fairy borrows enough magic to help her conceive. Jan's fairy daughter Bindi leads a charmed life, until the Fairy Queen (who has forbidden fairies from helping humans) finally tracks her down.
It's a short, magical book. How could you not love a fairy story where the fairy prefers blue jeans to flower-dresses? Or where a new fairy present shows up each birthday? Very fun, and the characters are all likable (even Charlie, who doesn't quite believe in fairies).
