Mhm, it's a little bit difficult to write a review. I'm honest, I was a little bit disappointet by this book. The story was really thin. In this book the personal life of Anita was more important. Problems she has with so much lovers were the main topic. Sometimes I had to ask myself who was Nicky, Sin or all the other guys. Because it's a long time since I read the last book in the series so I had a little bit trouble to remember the different man in her life. Asher was an asshole in this book, too. And yeah, Jean-Claud hat a little part, I was a little bit sad about this
Sin, Micah, Nathaniel, Nicky and the Marshalls had an more important part in this book. I was a little bit nerved about the many discussions Anita had with the young Sin. And Asher reacted like a young boy, that was really unnerving too. So a lot of trouble in personal life, in business it wasn't that dangerous this time. Yeah ok, some young vampires who abducted a girl and killed some people but nothing which you were upset or scared about. The last scene when a vampire kidnapped Nathaniel and some other lover of Anita and she rescued them with the help of SWAT was very unspectacular, too. The whole time I missed the tension and the emotion you usually feel when you read a book of Anita Blake. So I hope the next one will be better. In this story you had the feeling that the author don't know what she want to write.
