I read Ender's Game and the following books of the series a LONG time ago. It was kinda nice getting a peek at the origins of the story. I am out of the loop when it comes to comic books, but I was pleased to know that OSC and friends had done some nice stuff. I had read a few others of OSC's books, although science fiction is not a preferred style, and enjoyed them. I was dismayed (clutching pearls) to see all the hate about who said what about who and the politics of personal beliefs held so tightly they blind everybody. But I guess that is life.

But focusing on the book...Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston do a wonderful job. Yes, this book may not be on par with Ender's Game. Sometimes the first is the best. But that is an opinion viewed through the lens of hindsight and the mists of days past. Ultimately, you must judge for yourself.
