it was amazing
bookshelves: 4-5-star-reads-2012

This is a complicated dark fantasy story but in a very good way. I loved the ethnicity in the story - Jews, Christians, Greeks, etc. It's a new take on the classic good vs evil saga. I started reading and by the time I looked up again I was 57% through the book. A story that keeps me engaged that long at one time is a good story for me. This is set in 1913 Salem, Mass with high school aged kids. I think liberties were taken with the time period but that didn't matter or interfere with my enjoyment of the story. This is not a YA book for kids. This is a dark fantasy/horror story so if you like those kinds of stories you will love this one.
