really liked it
bookshelves: hot-sex-romance
Read from August 05 to 06, 2012

Same issues I seem to have with everything I have read by Kristen Ashley. Way longer than it needs to be, gets just goofy toward the end of the story, and the writing is AWFUL. I can understand one tough-guy alpha male talking without using the pronoun "I" to make him sound niftier, but all characters? It just makes them sound like a bunch of retards who never learned how to speak coherently.
That harshness aside, the story that the author tells, IS a decent romance (even though the guy was an prehistoric asshole with outdated ideas about "the little woman's place").

32.0% "If you ignore the fact that the author desperately needs to embrace grammar, and that many things are repeated, it isn't bad. What is REALLY on my nerves is how our dark and broodingly handsome hero calls the woman he clearly has the hots for, buddy. Buddy?!? A hot guy I'm interested in calls me "buddy", and I'm crying myself to sleep at night. It's not cute, it's lame."
