The "final" installment in the Black Jewels trilogy that takes your breath away, kicks you in the gut and makes your heart sore in triumph. In Daughter of the Blood, we heard Tersa's prophetic cry, "She is coming!" Dreams made flesh is walking in the world. And Jaenelle Angelline is just that. A dream. So real at times. She is everything you want and more in a heroine, in a queen. Her goodness is heart warming and evocative. Her darkness is surreal and frightening. She is both dream and nightmare. But in the end this is a story of redemption. So the low parts hurt you and the good parts heal you. A true joy to finish her story and the promise of hope. 10 stars for the entire Black Jewels Trilogy. If you haven't read it, what are you waiting for???!!!
