it was amazing

The worst thing about this novel is its somewhat clunky title. Don't let that deter you; Semple is a talented and shrewd storyteller.
Although I'm not ordinarily a fan of epistolary novels, this one is an exception. I love the range of emotions - from laugh-out-loud funny to heart-wrenching sadness - in this remarkable story. Bernadette is almost tiresome at times, but for the most part she remains sympathetic, and I enjoyed how everything was wrapped up in the end. My full review will be posted on The Christian Manifesto.com, and I received a free copy from the publisher.
