it was amazing
bookshelves: poetry
Read in April, 2009

I was quite surprised at how great this chap was! The majority of these poems are tight, flowing, and word after wonderful word of beautiful and interesting assonance, alliteration, and utterly good strangeness.

I particularly liked " Hereafter, Lions," and "The Finwife is Dismissed," (Born black with luck like iodine/ in the mouth.../Poor heart! A four-sided stone,/ a diamond bone that scrimshaws / cedar and finds no less than salt--you let your fortunes's fortune out...)
