I am not a big short story reader. Although I do read a lot of them, I can´t say it´s my favorite form of fiction. I have always thought that an author develops an idea or a character better in a novel. But this book makes me re think the short story more. All the stories here move and involve you, there is no way to stay indifferent to the things that go on, they seem to be familiar things she is speaking about, no matter what the situation is. They about the complexities of how we realte to each other, be it with friends or family. My favorites especially are The Isabel fish, and Stars of Motown shining bright. A beautiful book and an amazing writer.
