A great urban fantasy. Humans, elves, fairies, warlocks and all the other races live together in a world much like ours in a delicate state of sort of peace. In this world lives Gage, the only warlock to live freely among humans after escaping the warlock guild, for lack of a batter term. He runs a tattoo parlor, where he mixes potions into his ink to enhance his tattoos. A good luck horseshoe gets a good luck potion added to actually imbue the tattoo with luck. Then a girl with cancer comes in wanting angel wing tattoos on her back and Gage decides to get creative with the potions. The tattoo does things he couldn't even imagine, and that's where the adventure begins. The characters are great, the plot is interesting, and it's a unique twist on a typical fantasy story. Lots of room for sequels, too!
