This is a hard book to put a rating on since it has such a culture surrounding it. This was the third time I've tried to read The Fellowship of The Ring. I read it along with a group on reddit (one chapter a week) and it was going well. This book is meant to be savored a little. Life then got in the way and I fell behind... then I read 60 books inbetween with little desire to continue reading it.

There are a lot of beautiful things about this book, but for some reason it doesn't capture my heart like it has done countless others.

Nimit Is it wrong that I skip the songs as I'm reading this...?

Corinne Haha yeah I do too. That's a good discussion question to bring up in the book club, is there 'value' to reading them?
