I read this book at the same time as The Little Lady Agency And The Prince by Hester Browne, and there are some remarkable parallels between the two!
Both are the third book in their respective trilogies.
At the end of the previous books, both heroines had broken up with their boyfriends, but then got back together after receiving surprise proposals.
In both books, even though they are engaged, when they start thinking about arranging their weddings they wind up with hives (Queen of Babble) and hot flushes (Little Lady.)
The fiances of the Queen of Babble and the Little Lady just don't understand how important their work is to them, and how that work is important, not trivial.
Both the Queen of Babble and the Little Lady have families who are horrid to them, and a grandmother who is wonderfully eccentric.
There is a minor prince in both of the books.
And, in both of the books, they wind up at the end with different people than they have been going out with throughout the trilogy, but of course, the person who they were meant to be with all along!
