*NO SPOILERS*

The story opens on a group of friends Sloan, James and Miller who live in an America where suicide is an epidemic that is ravaging the populations teens. To fight the epidemic nations have created rehabilitation centers called The Program that offer treatment to the afflicted teens. The adults think it's the greatest invention since sliced bread, yet the teens know what really happen you're enrolled into The Program:
They wipe your memories.

Any sign that you are depressed, sad, or self mutilating and the men in white coats whisk you away for a six-week stay at The Program, where they wipe any semblance of who you used to be. You come out a blank slate, empty.

It could have been amazing, but it kind of fell flat towards the end.
I was planning on reading this book for a really long time, I was so intrigued by the cover and I thought it was gonna be really engaging, but yet again, the presence of a weak heroine ruined thE story for me.
