Beginning in 1926, this the type of book I usually ignore, however, this by far is the best book I have read in a very long time.

The story of a war veteran and his new wife sharing their early years on a remote light house tower island. Filled with the awe and amazement of an environment few of us have ever experience as well as their tragedies and heartbreaks. I won't bore you with the details or outline of the story as you can find that easily on any book recommendation reference page, I will only leave you with, bah humbug how can anyone cry over the ending of a novel................. only to find myself still teary eyed remembering the final touching pages. An EXCELLENT book!
