My Video Review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaTqT4... Every so often a closed and completed book series sees a spinoff. James Dashner decided to make a prequel to the absolutely amazing Maze Runner trilogy. The only reason this could be called a prequel is because it has 5 pages of the same characters as the Maze Runner and, chronologically, comes before. But when a prequel to an amazing series is The Kill Order, you have to ask yourself, 'Why the hell was this written? Why was this even published?' This book is a slap in the face to Maze Runner fans, looking to find out about Brenda and Thomas. Unless 3 pages at the beginning and end of the book are satisfactory. The new characters in this book have no point. I feel as though I could easily rip them with a very easy motion. The plot made sense, but I found myself not caring. (Refer to this being a MAZE. RUNNER. PREQUEL.) Overall, this was a poorly executed book by an amazing author. His...er...copper in the diamonds, if you will. Copper referring to a really really bad book in a library of excellent ones. While it wasn't for me, that doesn't mean it isn't for you so don't let my gripes keep you from reading the book. Although, I would wait until you can find it used.

The book was probably written just to add more money to his pockets, but Dashner let his readers down with a worthless perspective of who cares about the flare we knew about it from the other books. We wanted more of Thomas and Theresa, not Mark and Trina
