Paris: A Love Story
by Kati Marton
by Kati Marton
"Paris: A Love Story" by Kati Marton richly flows from Kati's cathartic exercise to begin another turn in her life journey. Passion for life breaks through in the brief look into a disrupted childhood, as a student in Paris, as an aggressive journalist, as a wife of an esteemed broadcaster, and culminating as the wife of a highly visible diplomat. While the grief still feels raw, and she admits, that grief does not have an end point, Kati's memoir remains focused on passion and walks the reader through her loss by circling back through her life stopping briefly to acknowledge the experiences that have layered her to become the ideal companion to her greatest love. Kati also hints at mistakes that in the end have strengthened her without belaboring the incidents to a tell-all level. This memoir is a quick read, but is a read that touches the heart.
