It's hard to rate this book, because I absolutely loved the first part of it, when Shawn's been grieving over Glenn's death. I think the writing was superb and I actually almost cried several times, reading about Shawn's despair and his reminiscing about their life together. That was great and I didn't mind that sex was Shawn's coping mechanism, that happens and actually understandable.

What I didn't like was how the relationship between him and Elliot started and proceeded. It's been too fast and looked like Shawn had completely forgot about Glenn and all of the sudden became obsessed with Elliot. I liked Elliot, don't get me wrong, and I was ready to root for their budding relationship, but the problem was it's not budding, but rather sudden and spontaneous. And I didn't like the ending, when Shawn's been all 'well sorry, Glenn, blahblah, but Elliot's my mr. Right'. WTF I expected more respect toward Glenn's memory.

All in all it started out great, but ended up very disappointing for me.
