Read from August 02 to 04, 2012

It was harmless, and sort of cute, like a cheesy Lifetime movie or a Bravo tv show, but it's facts in pop culture are egregious - case in point the lead character is singing along to a Kanye song on the radio, but the lyrics are from 50 Cent's discography.

There are several inconsistencies like that peppered through out the story, which make it distracting enough for me to be annoyed with the poor attention to detail quality, but not enough to not enjoy a guilty pleasure read.

The author's Latino characters are also caricatures - flat, exaggerated, embarrassing, but amusing enough to an audience of non-Hispanics, Santa Monica readers and wanna-bes I suppose.
