I have to admit I had some initial reservations when starting this book, anything with religious references is an instant turn off, it's just part of my nature.

And yet, I stuck with it, and it paid off, big time. Typical of PKD, this novel was a mindfuck.

The mission of Christ was a failure, he wasn't crucified to save man, people are just insane. Yah, God, Jehovah, whatever you want to call him, lost that battle. This time, he's making his way back to Earth, in the body of a child, struggling to remember who he is, and to decide, what he will do.

Whether you had a Christian or Jewish upbringing, or are a hardcore occultist well-read in the work of Aleister Crowley, Robert Anton Wilson, or not, this is a short, and recommended read.
