This is well written and keeps your interest...makes you wonder how anyone survived New England in the late 1600's to the 1700's between starvation, small pox, Indians and now the Salem witch babes! My only criticism is that one has to read over half the story before you really get to the essence of the title...the role of being the heretic's daughter...I'd really give it 3.5 stars. Makes you glad to be a New Englander of the 21st century and grateful to your ancestors, they were really tough birds!
