it was amazing

Zakaria challenges the American notion of democracy and what it takes for "democracy" to succeed. At the core of his main argument is the idea that democracy is not what is important (Hitler was freely elected to chancellor), but the principle of constitutional liberalism - free elections, but also rule of law, seperation of powers, etc. Well written, very readable. Zakaria, I believe, is the editor for Newsweek International. His new book "The Post-American World" is supposed to be very good as well.
