Another great Bryson book, this one about taking the trip I've always wanted to take. Kind of a modern Travels with Charley . I'd love to have the time (and money) to just drive around the US for a while.

Paulette I have never read any Bryson books. Now you've done it- I'm going to have to start...
Should I begin with this one or do you have a recommendation?

Greg Rothenberger It depends a lot on your interests. My favorite is In a Sunburned Country, which is his book about Australia. If you'd like, I can bring my copy in. It's a little worn (I've only read it 8 or 9 times), but still in pretty good shape.
