I received an eBook copy from the author for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review, and all conclusions are my own responsibility. Living your life over and over again as the same men watch and battle for your affections? That is what faces Nyssa in her repeated encounters with Thanatos (Death) and his brother Hypnos (Sleep). Both are enamored of her, yet only one finds his life completely meaningless without her. A cruel twist from the Greek Gods in the form of denying Nyssa her fate has sentenced her to repeat her life on an endless loop, while Hypnos tries to ensnare her and Thanatos is destined to relive a death without end in each incarnation.

Cleverly intertwining mythology with the emotions common to all: jealousy, love, spite, anger and even remorse, the author has managed to create a series of lives where Nyssa is used to taunt and cause dissention between the brothers. Full of twists and turns, the story keeps adding layers into the action that allow the individual gods encountered to live in the story as petty, vengeful and rather human feeling, beings. A new way of looking at the gods of myth, with a hope for a happily ever after.
