it was amazing

I didn't know anything about E.B. White (other than he wrote Charlotte's Web) until I stayed last week in the E.B. White room at the Sylvia Beach Hotel. I truly enjoyed this book of E.B.'s essays from the time just before and during the first part of WWII. He was a great writer and thinker, and wrote about life on the farm in Maine, life and times, and how the world was changing and how it stayed the same. His irreverence for unclear thinking and ill-thought views was quite refreshing. I plan to read more of his work if I can find it.
