I was happy to get my hands on an ARC from NetGalley and for full disclosure have not read the first book in the series. This is my first book I have read by the author and it will not be the last. What a wonderful story, what a perfect little town, and what an intriguing love story. Although I am sure it would make things easier, you do not have to read the first book as this book can stand completely on it's own.

Avery and Theo have both come to Star Harbor looking to escape something and yet hoping to find something as well. Avery is escaping her job under the guise of helping her aunt and Theo is escaping his writers block and trying to find a little inspiration. They both ding exactly what they are looking for as well as a little love along the way. Not only did I fall in love reading about them, but I fell in love with the whole town. All the characters we meet along the way are just wonderful. And of course I cannot wait to hear all about the last two Greyson boys and how their stories are going to play out. I am sad that I will be waiting quite some time for the next in this series, but I suppose that gives me time to go back and read the first book of the series and find out all about Seb and Lexie.

This book was a joy to read and I am so glad I got the opportunity. The writing was superb and I could actually picture almost every nuance of this small town. All the relationships were enthralling and I could not wait to read more. I am quite a fan of this writer and the series now and will be reading any work of her I can get. This was a solid 4.5 stars for me. I loved it and would recommend it to any of my friends who read romance with a slight mystery twist!
