bookshelves: depressingly-weird, ya

** spoiler alert ** Was intrigued by this creepy dystopian near future where parents can dispatch troublesome teens by "unwinding" them. The premise that the abortion debate could be solved by postfacto "birth control" disguised as heroic organ donation is truly eerie. echoed by real life politicans who argue for the sacredness of fetal life, but slashing funding for medicaid, family services & schools that serve children when they are out of the womb.
