really liked it

This is a very good (and long) description of the life and times of Rockefeller. It seems to be a fair representation of the man ... covering both his good and bad sides. Although he clearly held a monoply of the oil industry in the late 19th century, I wonder how the industry would have developed without his discipline. I must admit that I am biased because I am a long time XOM employee.

Chernow is an excellent biographer. I would recommend any of his books.
