I really enjoyed this entertaining summer read from the author of Must Love Dogs. The story is about Dierdre who escapes from the shadow of her overbearing family, especially her famous self-help guru brother, Tag who she has worked for as his around-the-clock assistant. Just like Mary in the Mary Tyler Moore show, Dierdre decides to shed her wallflower personality, start over and make it on her own. It leads her to new experiences, including participating in the show Dancing with The Stars. I loved how Dierdre organized her closet – not by size but by “Now, Not that Long Ago, Once Upon a Time, Never Again and In Your Dreams. “ The book is not all sunshine and happiness however. There are some sad moments as well.

If you didn’t know what a chiasmus was before, you will after you read this book and if you are like me, will try to think up some of your own. The author has a great sense of humor and I recommend this funny and endearing story.
