Aria is the daughter of a powerful political family. They are sworn enemies of the Fosters. She is engaged to their son,Thomas, but she has amnesia and can’t even remember him, much less falling in love with him. Supposedly their marriage will end the feuding, but Aria is unnerved. Then she meets a rebel boy from the depths below and it sparks a memory. That makes her determined to recover her memories. Little does she realize that this will uncover the betrayals of those closest to her.

This sounded like such an interesting premise, but it was really blah. I’m sure plenty of people will love the drama, but the story just felt like it’s been done before. I ended up quiting about a third of the way through, so the story might have picked up later on, but I just couldn’t bring myself to continue.

The legal jargon: I received this advanced reader copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
