If I were a homeschooling mom I think I would have SUPER fun putting together a poetry month. And this would be one of my books; along with "Mirror, Mirror" and "Lemonade". As a kid I HATED poetry. I don't know if is because how it was taught - but throw a little Shel Silverstein in with a handful of these books and I think I could get little L to be a Fan, I say.

As for just this book on it's own as a singular work - it's good. I liked it. I wasn't blown away. I think the awesomeness of it would be combined with the works I listed above.
