This book is not only exciting, it is highly informative. Clearly, Ms. Brady has done her research. I love it when I read a book that is not only exciting with a terrific plot, but it also has nuggets of information to glean. Start with a woman in the 1800's, on a remote island with only her young children, a missing husband, and you have the perfect setup for a thrilling read. I won't spoil the surprises for future readers by giving away the plot, but trust me--what happens to this woman and what she does, the choices she makes, create a gripping tale that will keep you glued to its pages until you finish.
