I was really disapointed with this book. I really enjoyed the previous Highland Pleasures stories.
It was apparent from the very beginning that there was no seduction at all. Julianna happens to bump into Elliot on her wedding day because the groom is MIA (married his piano teacher..) and Elliot is asleep and she accidentally sits on him.
They apparently have a past and then bam they're married, they head off to the dump of a house/castle he has with his entourage from India.

The first night in the house - their wedding night - Julianna goes to bed alone, until Elliot comes in later and well.. that's that. nice..
Meanwhile they haven't seen eachother for years and she was like 30 min away from marrying another man, but of course Elliot was her long lost love.

There was no 'seduction', and no 'romance' it just felt like all the wonderful parts of the story's potential was missing. Despite Elliot stating half way through that he actually intended to break up Julianna's wedding because he loved her, but it didn't seem plausible because he was asleep, that felt added in as an after thought.

Elliott has his past issues, which also includes a daughter from a woman he and his friend were sleeping with, and ended up being his friends wife. I just couldn't get my head around it.
Elliot spent all the time of his capture surviving on his love of Juliana but for years had been sharing another woman, sometimes the two of them at the same time. hmmm..
