The 11th book in the Women's Murder Club series was an improvement over the last few. These books may be read alone but there are certainly aspects that will not be understood if the previous 10 have not been read.

Detective Lindsay Boxer is pregnant, dealing with a fellow officer killing vigilante style and the grizzly discovery of several severed heads.

There is a reporter fabricating stories while stalking her. Her boss suspects his boss, her old partner, of being the vigilante. Joe, her husband, is supposedly having an affair with his old partner .... or so the partner claims. (This part just really ticked me off as it was completely unnecessary and so very obvious and served no purpose to either the plot of this work or the underlying character development.)

It was a light read when I needed one.
