Confession: I read this book with bad intentions. I was curious and wanted to find fault in Stephanie Nielson, but this book did not give me that satisfaction. For those who occasionally look at her blog, you understand that she's had a hard life under the bubble of a very good life. I was expecting her book to confirm all my assumptions about her: that she's whiny, flamboyant and clueless. I was wrong.

Her blog voice did not translate to her author voice. Praise to her editor or co-author for that. Stephanie came across mature, sincere and relateable. Her desire to be a good mom, homemaker and wife seemed completely authentic. The entire memoir, from beginning to end, was based on the foundation of her faith, which carried her through good and bad times. I even became teary-eyed a couple times when she shared some very personal, spiritual experiences.

A good read for every mother, regardless of your beliefs.
