Tried and tested Banks here. Slipped down a treat.

A novel about nostalgia, and I felt nostalgic reading it. The nostalgia I recalled was relating to the version of me that read the previous Banks novels that featured bridges, insular Scottish towns and the web of consequences spun out from a core implosion of a relationship.

I really like Iain Banks. This felt like a master at work, not a master inspired. I won't remember it, but I enjoyed it.
