This was a fun and entertaining read for the summer. I bought it on my kindle, so I wasn't hooked in by any cover art, although if I had seen it, I would have been intrigued.

The characters are fairly well developed and I love the theme that unites them: grief. I wanted to know more about Jazzy though - the quaint psychic nods from her grandmother, who was like a fifth rider in the car, felt flat at times. I would have liked to see more sharing between these women, as a road trip is a very confined space and time...

I just wanted more from this book. Ms. McQuestion strikes me as someone who's reluctant to really go deeper as a writer, and I think that's why she writes the way she does.
