it was amazing
bookshelves: science-fiction
Read from July 27 to 28, 2012

Wow. I have (another) new favorite book. Or should I say, this book joins the pantheon of the other novels that I consider my favorites. Set 30 years in the future, the book imagines a dystopian society in which people escape into a virtual environment to conduct most activities of their daily lives. Cross "The Matrix" with "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "The Da Vinci Code" and you have "Ready Player One." I can't recommend this one highly enough.

Edit -- going to reread this one. Might add this one to the Language Arts curriculum next year as well.
