Too Fat to Fish
by Artie Lange
by Artie Lange
I liked this, but it shows that this was his first book. Maybe it was more the editing than the writing, as I felt some of the longer chapters could have been broken up into sections for easier readability and also just to provide some logical breaks. At times I found myself exhausted, amazed that the chapter still had more than 10 pages of unbroken text remaining after I had already read 10.
Artie's stories about his life are terrific, at times hilarious, tragic and amazing. It helps that I am a fan of The Howard Stern Show and am a fan of Artie's. I always like to learn about the life of someone I'm interested in. Artie's life has tracked from the lows of the early death of his father, through drug addiction and abuse, to his success on a network comedy show, a network sitcom and now a spot on the biggest radio show on the planet. Artie's struggles continue, and that is part of what makes him such a great contributor on the Stern show.
