really liked it
Read from August 30 to September 02, 2012

I feel a bit pathetic saying that this is the first time I notice there's a girl in the cover o.o Hehe, I thought it was just a blue-ish ice-ish cover. Now I like it more. Anyways, I Love fairytales and re-tellings and First Frost was a mixture of both. Had the 'real' version of some of them and yet, made a story of it's own.

First Frost was really original in many aspects, I loved the idea of the museum, the story behind Bianca's name and the journey she has to go through to save her mother. All of it intertwined with the classic fairytale of the Grimm Brothers; I have never read any of their original stories, and from what I've heard, Disney's versions are freely adapted - Understatement. One thing is for sure though, after First Frost I will be reading the original stories. No doubt. Funny Fact: this book was released on the same date as the movie Brave and they had more than one similarity.

Another great part of the story were the characters they met along the way, like Prince Ferdinand. He was amusing in many ways, he reminded me of the prince in Katy Perry's video 'Wide Awake.' Useless and pathetic in an amusing way x) trying to find a princess to rescue and a quest to fulfill. I would be smiling when he was around. And there's also Terrance, whom I'd like to think looks really similar to Ben Barnes♥ Now HE is the real charm in the book, he may not have been a prince, but I was still swooning after him. As for Ming - Bianca's best friend - she was so funny and random, it was great to have her tag along on the adventures!

Fist Frost is a one-of-a-kind fairytale. Happily Ever After Guaranteed! I mean, pardon my typo there, Happily In Everafter ;)
