Taleb's writing smacks of self-glorification. Everything in this book could be reduced to:

(1) Humans have a tendency to create explanations
(2) Explanations give rise to faulty understandings of cause and effect
(3) These faulty understandings cause humans to poorly predict, misinterpret, and misunderestimate the world.
(4) We should all be aware of (1) - (3)
(5) Nassem Taleb needs a therapist.

(1) - (4) should be evident to any thinking person.
I'd be happier without knowing anything about (5).
