Yeah, I was sort of underwhelmed by this Booker Prize winner. Lots of interesting characters and events, but it just didn't gel, as I recall. I came away feeling she was just as overhyped as some other writers of her scene/generation (Dave Eggers, ha). Didn't put me in a mood to check out her sophomore effort.
