While I really enjoyed Eragon and Eldest, and was excited about this book, I was disappointed. It seemed to go on far too long to get nowhere. I was reminded of why I put down the Lord of the Rings books. Lots of description, lots of traveling, not a whole lot of action. I was under the impression that this was the last book of the series. It's not, and it shows. It's merely a means of getting from point B to point B.5, not even point C. Point C, we're shown, comes later. I bought this in hardback, but I will wait on the last one to come out in paperback.

Ok, all that disappointment, but I still gave it four stars. I really liked it. I would have liked it more had it been half as wordy.
