The book is great at giving examples of early Mormon tolerance for homosexuality, but there are several instances where the author holds up an example of a close relationships between individuals as a homosexual relationship, but it doesn't sound like it was sexual or romantic at all, simply plutonic. Because of this, it is overly long and could have done a better job of drawing attention to early Mormonisms tolerance of same sex relationships if it had cut about half the examples given from the book.
