WhooHoo! A few weeks ago, a girl came into work and handed me this book, telling me that it was as good as or better than the hunger games and divergent. Unable to ignore such a tantalizing review, I had to find out for myself.

And Daaaamn!

Slated is set in a dystopian future where terrorists are often part of youth movements and are a constant threat to society. Consequently, if they are caught while they are 16 or under, they are Slated - all their memories and their personality is completely wiped so they can start again and be functioning members of society.

Kyla is a Slated girl. But unlike the others, she keeps on having nightmares that she's pretty sure are from her life before. Not to mention that she's one of the only ones who thinks to question the status quo when people start going missing.

I don't want to say much more for fear of spoilers. But Slated is absolutely fantastic and if you get a chance, it's definitely worth a look!
