Some readers have commented on Ackerman’s wordiness and tendency to digress, but I found this book to be insightful and a pleasure to read. To each his (or her) own, absolutely, but try it, you might like it.

Allyse I'm reading this and prof and madman at the same time back and forth. I really love the way this is written. Facts in a flowing literary way. It reads so easily. I think there are many here who would like it also.

Allyse Had a late dinner with friends last night (oh yeah I'm off for 5 days) and shared a bit of the chapter on smell...(which I love) I already have someone lined up to read it next.

Summer She has such a wide base of experiences. When I grow up, I want to be an arthropologist. They get to do everything.
