it was amazing
bookshelves: historical-fiction, favorites

For fans of Neil Gaiman's Sandman series, this is a must-have collection. When I first saw the $99.00 per book price tag, I hesitated to even look at the books. I did, and was amazed by the value they present. The books are faux-leather, wonderfully slipcased in durable cardboard. But the true value lies inside. Each panel of the original graphic novels have been enlarged to be more like the original drawings, and have also been re-colored. The difference is amazing. Details that are muddy and lost in the original printings are revealed, and they completely change the flavor of the story. This set is of the highest quality, and is worth every penny. The bonus material, extra stories and interviews, are simply icing on the cake.
