It's all about the story being told. I so love reading books by southern authors. My first book for Dorothea Benton Frank. And, the South Carolina coast is one of my favorite places I have visited. That being said I truly enjoyed the experience of this read. Makes me want to revisit the Carolinas again. The 2 sisters in this story are so bonded through their tough family life as children which keeps them together as adults. I did chuckle at some of her references of today's teenagers and their lifestyles. A truly "good" read.
