Artaud is unendingly fascinating, but I found it frustrating that none of the text from the "drawings" was translated. I mean, I understand it was more about ritualistic process & materiality, but the few bits I managed to pick up with my ultimately mediocre understanding of French struck me as really powerful in tangent with the scribbles and drawings. This book will one day sit on my bookshelf, but I still wish the entire thing had been translated instead of just the "Manifesto."
